The point of a water-soluble agrochemical pack is that nobody has to open it. The operator drops the sealed pack straight into the spray tank, the film dissolves, and the dose is released without the pouring, dusting or measuring that causes exposure.
What the pack does
A water-soluble agrochemical pack holds one measured dose of a crop protection product — wettable powder, water-dispersible granule or liquid formulation. The operator drops the whole sealed pack into the spray tank. The film dissolves in the tank water and releases the dose with no opening, no pouring and no measuring.
That protects the operator from the exposure that comes with handling concentrates, and it removes the over-dosing and under-dosing that manual measurement produces. It also means the pack itself leaves no waste to rinse, store or dispose of as contaminated packaging.
Where it is used
- Wettable powders and water-dispersible granules — pre-weighed packs sized to a tank or a field unit.
- Liquid crop protection formulations — where the formulation is compatible with PVA film.
- Fertilisers and micronutrients — measured doses for fertigation and foliar applications.
- Seed treatment and specialist inputs — where controlled dosing matters most.
What we make
| Specification | What we supply |
| Film grade | Matched to the temperature of the tank water your operator uses |
| Pack format | Sealed bags and pouches, made to your dose weight and dimensions |
| Print | Printed with product identification and hazard pictograms |
| Film thickness | Set against dose weight and the mechanical handling the pack has to survive |
| Outer packing | Bulk cartons or retail-ready packs under your brand |
| Dissolving behaviour | Tuned so the pack dissolves fully in the tank, with no film residue in the spray line |
What to specify when you enquire
Agrochemical packs are specified against the formulation
- The active and the formulation type — WP, WG, SC, SL or other
- Dose weight per pack
- Tank water temperature and typical water hardness
- Whether the pack will be handled by hand or by machine
- Hazard classification and the labelling your market requires
- Target quantity and destination market
Why the formulation decides the film
Agrochemical formulations vary widely in how aggressive they are to water-soluble film. Some wettable powders are perfectly compatible. Some solvents, high free-water content or extreme pH formulations are not, and no amount of film engineering fixes that.
The right approach is a compatibility trial: we select a candidate film, sample it against your actual formulation, and check that the pack still dissolves cleanly after the intended storage period. Where the formulation is genuinely unsuitable, we say so rather than supply a pack that fails in the field.
Common mistakes
- Specifying on dose weight alone. Two powders at the same weight can require completely different films.
- Ignoring storage. A pack that dissolves perfectly when fresh can fuse or soften after a season in a humid store.
- Leaving the label until last. Hazard pictograms and required text affect the printable area, which affects the film and the pack dimensions.
- Skipping the tank test. Dissolving has to be proven in real tank water, at the temperature and hardness the operator actually works with.
How ordering works
Send the formulation type, dose weight, tank conditions and hazard labelling requirement. We reply within one business day with a film recommendation and a compatibility sample plan. Bulk production starts only after the pack performs in your own tank trial.

Quick answers
The questions buyers ask most about this application.
Which agrochemical formulations are suitable for PVA packs?
Wettable powders and water-dispersible granules are the most common fit, along with compatible liquid formulations. Strong solvents, high free-water content and extreme pH products are the difficult cases. Send us the formulation and we will confirm compatibility honestly.
Can the packs be printed with hazard pictograms?
Yes. Packs are printed with product identification and the hazard pictograms your market requires. Tell us the labelling requirement early, because it affects the printable area and therefore the film and pack dimensions.
What happens if the pack does not dissolve fully in the tank?
Full dissolving is proven during sampling, in tank water at the temperature and hardness your operators actually use. Dissolving behaviour is tuned against dose weight, film thickness and tank conditions before bulk production.
How is the film grade chosen for agrochemicals?
It is matched to the temperature of the tank water, then confirmed by a compatibility trial against your actual formulation and the storage period the pack has to survive.
What is the minimum order quantity?
It depends on pack size, film grade and the printing required. Send your target quantity with your enquiry and we confirm the exact minimum, unit price and lead time in the written quote before you commit.
